On My Mind

I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love." Mother Teresa

Stand in the Rain by Superchick

My friend introduced me to this song. I love it. It is one of those songs where I heard the lyrics and felt like it was written just for me. You can hear it here.

She never slows down.
She doesn't know why but she knows that when she's all alone, feels like its all coming down
She won't turn around
The shadows are long and she fears if she cries that first tear, the tears will not stop raining down

[CHORUS]
So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
You stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found
You stand in the rain

She won't make a sound
Alone in this fight with herself and the fears whispering if she stands she'll fall down
She wants to be found
The only way out is through everything she's running from wants to give up and lie down.

[CHORUS]
So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
You stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found
You stand in the rain
So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
Stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found

[CHORUS]So stand in the rain
Stand your ground
Stand up when it's all crashing down
You stand through the pain
You won't drown
And one day, whats lost can be found
You stand in the rain

Maturity

Maturity begins to grow when you can sense your concern for others outweighing your concern for yourself.

Things that make ya go hmmmmm....

"I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Roman church, by the Greek church, by the Turkish church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church."

Thomas Paine

I find it interesting how many of our founding fathers and their fellow patriots, as well as many other great leaders and thinkers (such as Abraham Lincoln) were men who had deep faith, with little to no desire to be part of religion. I do enjoy the church we attend, but I also understand how church membership is very different than spiritual faith.

Tattoo Art

I love looking at tattoos. I wouldn't get anything done that covers major portions of my body, but I love seeing the images and translating some of them into other work I do. It all ties into that grungy, urban, graphic look that I love in my digi and paper scrap supplies. This page on Live Journal has some links to some pictures of some really cool inkings.
