To be thought of that way...

I have never been much of a romantic/sentimental person, but as I find myself going through these changes, stripping off the years of self-protection and giving myself permission to feel without regret, I have discovered that heartfelt does not have to equate to corniness, and wanting to experience the romance does not equate to being needy.

To be thought of that way....

maybe someday

The Moral of the Story is....

I was sharing music with a friend who sent me this. Love it. There is a lesson to be learned in the video. Stay in bed and snuggle and you won't come unraveled!!

You Are My Joy

I won't leave you out of my will
But I will leave you out of my mind - for now

I won't be there to break your sweet heart
But not being there might break your sweet heart

You are my joy - you are my joy
You are my joy - you are my joy
You are my joy - you are my joy
You are my joy - you are my joy

If I could cradle you into my arms
I would cradle you tight in my arms - always

So don't be scared of all the hurtful words
Cause in the end they'll hurt themselves much more

You are my joy - you are my joy
You are my joy - you are my joy
You are my joy - you are my joy
You are my joy - you are my joy

You are my joy - you are my joy
You are my joy - you are my joy
You are my joy - you are my joy
You are my joy - you are my joy

Mathilde of Tuscany

She is one of my medieval heroes. I love this depiction of her. You can read about her many places, but I like this interpretation on this blog.

Chartres Cathedral

Oh, to see all the windows and art...

File:Cathédrale de Chartres - Chapelle de Vendôme.JPG

and to walk the labyrinth....

[ Chartres cathedral meditation labyrinth ]

and to see it all lit up in person...

How great would that be?

Really now....

I object to Mary Magdalene still being referred to as a prostitute. She wasn't. It is easy to read up on.... but hard for some people to let go of.

Read here, or here, or here to get started.

Soulmate

Soulmate... Natasha Bedingfield

Incompatible, it don't matter though'

cos someone's bound to hear my cry

Speak out if you do

You're not easy to find

Is it possible Mr. Loveable

Is already in my life?

Right in front of me

Or maybe you're in disguise

Who doesn't long for someone to hold

Who knows how to love you without being told

Somebody tell me why I'm on my own

If there's a soulmate for everyone

Here we are again, circles never end

How do I find the perfect fit

There's enough for everyone

But I'm still waiting in line

Who doesn't long for someone to hold

Who knows how to love you without being told

Somebody tell me why I'm on my own

If there's a soulmate for everyone

If there's a soulmate for everyone

Most relationships seem so transitory

They're all good but not the permanent one

Who doesn't long for someone to hold

Who knows how to love you without being told

Somebody tell me why I'm on my own

If there's a soulmate for everyone

Who doesn't long for someone to hold

Who knows how to love you without being told

Somebody tell me why I'm on my own

If there's a soulmate for everyone

If there's a soulmate for everyone

Beautiful Disaster

Love this song.

Jon McLaughlin - Beautiful Disaster

She loves her momma's lemonade
Hates the sounds that goodbyes make
She prays one day she'll find someone to need her
She swears that there's no difference between the lies and compliments
It's all the same if everybody leaves her

And every magazine tells her she's not good enough
The pictures that she sees makes her cry

She would change everything, everything, just ask her
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster
She just needs someone to take her home

She's giving boys what they want
Tries to act so nonchalant
Afraid to see that she's lost her direction
She never stays the same for long
Assuming that she'll get it wrong
Perfect only in her imperfection

She's not a drama queen
She doesn't wanna feel this way
Only 17 and tired, yeah

She would change everything for happy ever after
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster
She just needs someone to take her home

She's just the way she is
But no one's told her that's OK

She would change everything, everything, just ask her
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster

She would change everything for happy ever after
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster
She just needs someone to take her home
She just needs someone to take her home

A memorial to the Newtown Victims.

I have seen many of the videos, tributes, and articles regarding the victims of Newtown, particularly now around the one year anniversary. Each makes my heart break for the families and friends who loved them. This photo, of a memorial built in a neighboring town, stole my breath. As they say on many of the tributes about the Newtown tragedy... love wins.
